Community rules and guidelines

These rules exist to keep the server welcoming, safe, professional, and enjoyable for everyone. By participating in this server, you agree to follow these rules, Discord’s Terms of Service, and Resonite’s Terms of Service. Failure to comply may result in warnings, mutes, kicks, or bans at staff discretion.

1. Platform & External Policies

[edit | edit source]
  • Follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times.
  • Follow Resonite’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
  • If an action violates Discord or Resonite rules, it is also a violation here, even if not explicitly listed below.

2. Respectful Conduct

[edit | edit source]
  • Be kind, respectful, and civil to all members.
  • No harassment, bullying, hate speech, slurs, threats, or personal attacks.
  • Do not target individuals or groups based on protected characteristics or personal traits.
  • Treat disagreements professionally; attack ideas, not people.

3. No Drama & Conflict Handling

[edit | edit source]
  • Do not create or escalate drama, callouts, or public arguments.
  • If you have an issue with another member, contact @Staff - Moderator privately.
  • Do not rally others, dogpile, or attempt to publicly shame another user.
  • Staff decisions should not be argued publicly; use private channels or DMs for appeals.

4. Politics & Sensitive Topics

[edit | edit source]
  • No political discussion, campaigning, or advocacy.
  • Avoid highly divisive or inflammatory social topics unless explicitly allowed in a designated channel.
  • Attempts to bypass this rule through memes, coded language, or "just joking" will still be enforced.

5. Appropriate Content

[edit | edit source]
  • Keep content appropriate for the server and its audience.
  • No NSFW, explicit, or sexual content unless clearly permitted in designated channels.
  • No graphic violence, shock content, or disturbing material.
  • Follow channel-specific rules and purposes.

6. Spam, Advertising & Solicitation

[edit | edit source]
  • No solicitation, advertising, self-promotion, marketing, or fundraising without explicit staff approval.
  • This includes scams, referral links, giveaways, DMs to members, or external server promotion.
  • Zero tolerance for scams or deceptive practices.

7. Technical & Mentorship Requests

[edit | edit source]
  • Technical issues and mentorship-related matters should be directed to Amaster.
  • Social, behavioral, or interpersonal issues should be handled by other staff members.
  • Do not misuse technical channels for social disputes.

8. Misinformation & Exaggerated Claims

[edit | edit source]
  • Do not knowingly spread false, misleading, or exaggerated claims.
  • Extraordinary claims may be questioned by staff and may require evidence.
  • Refusal to cooperate in clarification or investigation may result in moderation action.

9. Privacy & Safety

[edit | edit source]
  • Do not share personal or private information (your own or others’). Age verification should be done through DMs only by @Staff - Age Verifier.
  • No doxxing, stalking, or attempts to obtain private data.
  • Respect boundaries, if someone asks you to stop, stop.

10. Impersonation & Identity

[edit | edit source]
  • Do not impersonate staff, developers, public figures, or other members.
  • Usernames, nicknames, and avatars must not be misleading or deceptive.

11. Staff Authority & Enforcement

[edit | edit source]
  • Staff reserve the right to moderate content and behavior as needed.
  • Not every rule violation will receive a warning first.
  • Punishments may escalate based on severity, intent, or prior history.

12. Investigations & Moderation Process

[edit | edit source]
  • Staff may investigate reports, claims, or behavior as necessary.
  • Members may be asked to provide context or evidence.
  • Attempting to interfere with, evade, or undermine an investigation is a violation.

13. Appeals & Feedback

[edit | edit source]
  • If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, contact staff privately.
  • Constructive feedback is welcome; hostile or disruptive appeals are not.

14. Final Notes

[edit | edit source]
  • Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.
  • These rules may be updated as the server evolves.
  • Staff judgment is final in cases not explicitly covered above.
